Two pipe bombs were made safe last night, after being discovered in the grounds of a church in Belfast.

Two pipe bombs were made safe last night, after being discovered in the grounds of a church in Belfast. The devices, which the RUC says were in a volatile condition, were found at a protestant church off the loyalist Shankill rd. A number of families in neighbouring houses were evacuated from the area after the alarm was raised. Police are condemning the incident.
