More charges over ‘hostage’ incident

Two brothers faced fresh charges yesterday arising out of the investigation of a reported false imprisonment at a house in Cork in September.

Inspector Vincent O’Sullivan said the that Director of Public Prosecutions had directed trial by indictment at Cork Circuit Criminal Court of Bernard Ring and Gavin Ring.

Detective Garda Malcolm Walsh formally arrested the brothers yesterday for the purpose of charging them.
