Man told garda ‘he would rape wife and do your kids’

A Cork man arrested for a street assault told a guard, “I will rape your wife and do your kids.”

The man who made this comment was before the district court yesterday for sentencing. Kyle Duggan, aged 28, pleaded guilty to a charge of engaging in threatening or abusive words or behaviour on June 4. Inspector Brian O’Donovan said there had been an assault on a man at Coburg St on the night, and the assailant Duggan was held down and restrained until the gardaí arrived.

A garda arrested the defendant and put him into a Garda van.
