A skateboarder who has been in custody for the last couple of months has been doing well with arts and crafts courses and gym training but he is missing his skateboarding hobby.

Defence solicitor Diarmuid Kelleher said Nigel Walsh, aged 25, of 8 Kilmore Rd, Knocknaheeny, Cork, was doing well in prison and his health was also improving as a result of being clear of drugs. However, he is missing his hobby.

“He is a serious skateboard person. He misses that. Obviously when he is in custody he cannot do that,” Me Kelleher said.
