Sinn Féin calls for an all-island soccer team

Ireland should have a united Irish soccer team as it makes “no sense” to be represented on both sides of the border, according to Sinn Féin.

The party has also claimed Brexit opens up a “unique opportunity” for a united Ireland.

Launching Sinn Féin’s United Ireland Discussion Document, MEP Matt Carthy said an all-island State would lead to economic growth and would benefit agriculture, exports, investment, and sport.
