Public urged to support development of Gearagh

The public has been urged to help shape a management plan for The Gearagh in mid-Cork.

The area is one of the country’s most ecologically unique and beautiful regions. The unique submerged glacial woodland, 3km east of Macroom, is a special area of conservation, majority-owned by the ESB.

A management plan is being developed between the ESB and government agencies and departments.
