National Rowing Centre to be celebrated in Cork

Business leaders in one of Cork’s largest towns will host a special event tomorrow night to celebrate the incredible successes of the National Rowing Centre based nearby.

Ballincollig Business Association (BBA) said they wanted to recognise the outstanding achievements of, and the work being done, at the national training centre in nearby Farran Wood.

The recent successes of the Irish team at the Olympics and the World Championships, and in particular the silver and gold medals earned by the West Cork brothers, Paul O’Donovan and Gary O’Donovan, have elevated the sport to national prominence, with more and more people interested in getting involved.
