Wife told order coffin for herself

At the height of a series of harassing and threatening phone calls, a Kanturk man told his wife that she should order a coffin.

Patrick Carver, aged 44, of Bettyville, Kanturk, Co Cork, faced sentencing yesterday at Cork Circuit Criminal Court for harassing his wife, Nora Carver, in November 2015, and for related charges.

The charge was of harassment by persistently pestering or communicating with Mrs Carver by any means including by use of the phone.
