Lost Ferrari case resolved

A High Court action brought by a Co Waterford medical consultant who lost a Ferrari in a deal for a McLaren sports car he never received has been resolved.

Lost Ferrari case resolved

The action was brought by Eddie O’Donnell against Ocean Vehicle Trading Ltd and director Oisin Legaspi.

Dr O’Donnell, the court heard, traded in his Ferrari California to part finance the purchase of a 2012 McLaren MP4 12C, which he said he never received. The failure to deliver the car or provide a refund resulted in Mr O’Donnell’s lawyers obtaining temporary freezing orders against both defendants preventing them from reducing their assets below a value of €150,000.

After talks between the sides the court was told last month the defendants had agreed to make a number of payments to Mr O’Donnell.

When the case returned before the High Court yesterday, Yvonne O’Gara, counsel for the defendants, informed Mr Justice Paul Gilligan the case had been resolved and could be struck out.
