Nurses warn health reform could take up to 15 years

Moving to a single tiered health service guaranteeing equality of treatment for all will take at least 15 years, nurses told an Oireachtas committee.

The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation said it wanted the radical transformation of the health service and believed that a progressive tax system could fund it.
