Man dies in double stabbing in Dublin
The deceased, aged in his 20s, was found in a flat along the Portobello stretch of South Circular Road. Gardaí confirmed he is Irish. However, it is thought he may have French family connections, where his immediate family lives.
Gardaí were alerted to a disturbance at the flat at around 3.45pm. When they responded, they spotted a collapsed body on a footpath on the other side of the road, opposite the house.
An ambulance brought the injured man, thought to be Swiss, to St James’s Hospital, where his injuries were described as non-life-threatening.

Gardaí entered the large Victorian terraced house and discovered a man’s body lying face down in one of the flats. They sealed off both scenes and recovered a knife outside. Gardaí believe both men suffered stab wounds.
The deceased’s body remained in situ pending the arrival of the State pathologist. Gardaí believe the injured man made his way from the house, somehow navigating what is a very busy road, before collapsing on the far side.
Gardaí are investigating reports that a third man was seen running from the house at around 3.20pm. He is described as a male, aged in his 20s, 5ft6 in height, thin and wearing a black top and trousers. His clothes were possibly bloodstained.
