Way cleared for boys and girls national schools in Kanturk to join up

An obstacle has been cleared for the amalgamation of the boys and girls national schools in Kanturk, Co Cork.

The Office of Public Works is currently finalising the release of tenders for the building of a new school to accommodate all the pupils.

Cllr Gerard Murphy got confirmation of the move following correspondence he sought from Agriculture Minister Michael Creed, who represents the constituency, and from Education Minister Richard Bruton.
