Alleged rape in Kerry hospital

Gardaí in Kerry have said a file is to be sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions after an allegation of rape in one of the region’s leading private hospitals, the Bon Secours Hospital, in Tralee.

The allegation, which was made by a woman in her early sixties, is that she was raped by a member of staff in a changing room, following a medical procedure.

Kerry’s chief superintendent, Con Cadogan, yesterday said a file is being prepared and will involve forensic results.
