Charged with stabbing man in his 60s in the face

Gardaí arrested a man and brought him before Cork District Court on aggravated burglary and other charges after a man in his early 60s was stabbed in the face at his home in Blarney, Co Cork.

Detective Garda Kevin McCarthy arrested William O’Driscoll, aged 30, of 53 Killala Gardens, Knocknaheeny, Cork.

He was formally charged on Tuesday night at Gurranabraher Garda Station and brought before the court yesterday.
