Man shot in case of mistaken identity died of gunshot wound to head, inquest hears

A 24 year old man killed in a case of mistaken identity died of a gunshot wound to the head. 

An inquest into his death opened at Dublin Coroner’s Court heard the cause of death was determined by State Pathologist Dr Marie Cassidy, who carried out a post-mortem on the day of death.

Martin O’Rourke’s sister Catherine, was present in court, wept during the inquest, which heard that the investigation into the young man’s death is ongoing.
