Judge overturns council’s planning refusal

The High Court has overturned a refusal by Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council to grant planning to a company of developer and investor Michael O’Flynn for a €75m residential development in South County Dublin.

O’Flynn Capital Partners (OFCP) had sought a judicial review of the council’s refusal on July 31, 2015, for 164 residential units at Beech Park, Bray Rd, Cabinteely/Loughlinstown.

The council, which had opposed the application, refused permission on a number of grounds including that it contravened the area’s planning scheme.
