No jail for tattoo artist for breaking man’s jaw

A vicious assault by a tattoo artist which resulted in the victim having his jaw broken in two places resulted in the assailant getting a suspended two-year jail sentence yesterday.

Judge Seán Ó Donnabháin said yesterday at Cork Circuit Criminal Court: “This was a vicious assault with serious consequences for the victim.

“The accused has pleaded guilty. There was no previous between the parties. No implement was used other than his fist. It was not pre-meditated and the accused has behaved himself since.
