On Friday, he will host a fourth annual quiz night in Ahakista where the 53-year-old also has a holiday home.
The event, as usual, is a sell-out and organisers say the quiz will be “the most exciting one so far”.
Traditionally, the atmosphere in the area on the night of the quiz is electric, with a buzz in the air from the moment Norton strolls over from his home, a five-minute walk away.
Tickets went on sale over the June bank holiday weekend for the coveted Golden Quiz Tickets.
Queuing began at 4.30am and, with many people having travelled from overseas, the tickets were sold out in minutes.
The monies raised from this event will go towards the ongoing development of amenities on the Ahakista Community Association site which is a focal point in the community where all local groups such as Foróige, Sea Scouts, Ahakista Rowing Club, the GAA, and many more have a safe, suitable venue to hold their activities and meetings.
This year, the top prize in a raffle on the night is a pair of tickets to attend thewith a meet-and-greet in the green room afterwards where the winner will get to rub shoulders with Norton and his celebrity guests.
Tickets for the raffle can be purchased by those lucky enough to be in the marquee on Friday.
Meanwhile, the village, located on the Sheep’s Head peninsula, has a lot of other activities planned throughout the weekend.
There’s road bowling on Saturday evening and live music by the Water’s Edge in both of the local pubs.
Sunday will see a fantastic day out for all the family with water activities on what is known as the sandy beach.
There will also be games for all ages, bouncy castles, and a BBQ in the adjacent gardens of the Tin Pub.
