Elegant Claire is apple of RDS’ eye as best dressed lady at Horse Show

It was a double win for Munster in the style stakes at Ladies Day in the RDS Horse Show yesterday. Claire Murphy from Kerry won best dressed lady while Raymond Gilbourne from Cork was best dressed man.

“I was on the phone to my husband as the name was being announced, not thinking it would be me and I was saying, ‘What time are you taking her [their daughter] to the Gaeltacht?’ And then next thing somebody said, ‘It’s you.’ So I just don’t know where my phone is right now, I think I dropped it,” Claire, from Tralee, tells the Irish Examiner.

She wore an apple green and cream outfit, championing the creativity of the kingdom in Killorglin designer Tina Griffin’s dress and local milliner Carol Kennelly’s headpiece.
