Duo avoid jail over attack

Dylan Barry, aged 19, of Castlecourt, Killiney, Co Dublin, and Dylan Gray, aged 19, of Cois Cualann, Loughlinstown, Dublin, got suspended three-year sentences for violent disorder at Missoni’s chipper, Sallynoggin, on December 13, 2014.

Dublin Circuit Criminal Court heard both punched and kicked their victim before Gray dragged him to the ground where the attackers punched him. The victim refused to make a statement to gardaí so no assault charges could be brought.

Gray’s father, Derek Gray, said he had found it hard to believe his son had done this.
