Radiologist forged sleeping pill prescription

A radiologist who told the court she was an insomniac appeared at Tralee District Court on 47 summonses in relation to forged sleeping tablet prescriptions.

The allegations related to the period between October 17, 2014, and March 11, 2015, and involved 10 different pharmacies, said Sgt Kieran O’Connell, prosecuting.

The matter came to light when some of the pharmacies became suspicious at the number of requests, Sgt O’Connell said.
