Children ‘chastised’ over father’s rant

The children of a farmer who subjected a neighbour to a foul-mouthed and obscene ‘tractor rant’ have been chastised at their local school in the fallout from the incident.

That is according to Martina Brennan, solicitor for Clare farmer John Keane who told a court yesterday Mr Keane is now embarrassed to go out and he hasn’t been to church since the last day in court due to the negative publicity around the case.

Judge Patrick Durcan said that married father of three, Mr Keane, 43, subjected Eoin Gibson to a grossly offensive, indecent, obscene, and menacing voicemail on August 15, 2015.
