Man remanded in custody after gun and ammunition found in car

A man has been remanded in custody charged over a gun and ammunition seizure after gardaí stopped a car in Dublin at the weekend.

The car was searched near the Naas dual carriageway on Saturday shortly before 3pm and a firearm and ammunition were recovered.

Another car was stopped at the Long Mile Road.
