Facebook to delete photos if users don’t install Moments app

Facebook has risked the ire of users around the world by threatening to delete synced photographs from accounts unless they download the specific ‘Moments’ app.

The measure will come as an annoyance to anyone who uses their Facebook account as a de facto family album and comes after Facebook had already warned users to use its Messenger app to send messages, rather than through the main user account.

In an email outlining the move, Facebook said: “We wanted to let you know that photos you privately synced from your phone to Facebook will be deleted soon.
