Garda Jerry McCabe anniversary to be marked with plaque

A memorial plaque to mark the 20th anniversary of the killing of Detective Garda Jerry McCabe is to be erected on a house in Co Kerry where he grew up.

The idea came from a garda serving in Co Cork who was born in the same village of Ballylongford.

The Garda Representative Association (GRA) is paying for the plaque.
