70,000 census forms have yet to be returned

About 70,000 census forms have yet to be returned to the Central Statistics Office (CSO) before Monday’s deadline.

Just over 1.7m census forms have now been collected by census enumerators across the country, which represents around 96% of the total issued. The enumerators in some regions of the country are still calling to collect forms but will conclude this work on Friday.

The CSO is encouraging all householders to return their census form by post if it has not yet been collected.
