Teen kicked and punched woman

A 16-year-old boy high on cocaine punched and kicked a woman in the face after she stopped her car when a bottle was thrown.

The incident happened at 11.30pm on December 17 last, Garda Michael O’Brien told Cork Circuit Criminal Court yesterday, where the assailant was sentenced to one year in detention at Oberstown and a further year of post-release supervision.

The teen pleaded guilty to a charge of robbery arising out of the incident.
