Several TDs set for promotion to cabinet while existing member may be moved or dropped

Several TDs are set to be promoted to ministerial office while existing ministers will be moved across to new portfolios under the government being put together by Fine Gael leader Enda Kenny.

The Irish Examiner has learned that a number of ministers may also be dropped from their positions at the cabinet table, while several young TDs are being linked with promotions to junior ministerial posts.

Mr Kenny has a total of 14 senior roles to fill.
