A man closely linked to the attack on the Regency Hotel in which David Byrne, a key member of the Kinahan gang, was murdered, was shot dead last night in the latest murder linked to the Kinahan-Hutch gangland feud.

The victim, named locally as Michael Barr, aged in his mid 30s, from Finglas, was fatally injured at Sunset House pub in the Ballybough area of Dublin.

Barr was associated with the Hutch gang and is understood to have provided logistical support to one of the gunmen who carried out the Regency Hotel attack on February 4 which resulted in the murder of Kinahan lieutenant David Byrne from Crumlin, South Dublin.
