Jailed for refusing to give phone PIN codes to gardaí

A Corkman was jailed for five months yesterday for obstructing gardaí in a drugs investigation by refusing to give them his passwords for three mobile phones.

At Cork District Court, Judge Olann Kelleher imposed the sentence on Andrew O’Connell, of 98 Mount Rivers, Carrigaline.

A concurrent jail term of five months was imposed for having cannabis for sale or supply.
