Boxer jailed for knife attack on friend fires legal team

A boxer who attacked a friend with a knife has fired his legal team after receiving two years in jail.

Daniel Wall, aged 23, of Greenhills Grove, Tallaght, Dublin, pleaded guilty at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to assault causing harm to Gerard Dempsey on February 10, 2014, at Greenhills Court, Tallaght.

Counsel for Wall had pleaded for leniency and said that Wall had €1,100 in court for the victim as a token of his remorse.
