Corkman in court over alleged carjacking

A 23-year-old Corkman was brought before Cork District Court yesterday on charges to related an alleged carjacking in North Cork.

It was widely reported this week that a woman came across a man standing at the side of the road and stopped to see if he needed assistance and that he produced what was described as a knife and dragged the woman from her car before driving away.

Yesterday, Vincent Morey, originally from Gurranabaher but who was recently living in Bweeng, North Cork, appeared before Cork District Court.
