A 33-year-old man accused of stealing cash from two patients at Marymount Hospice in Cork confessed to the crimes yesterday.

Kevin O’Sullivan, of 11 New St, Tallow, Co Waterford, appeared at Cork District Court yesterday for the first time on the charges.

The first count stated he stole €130 from a male patient at the St John Ward of Marymount on November 10, 2015. The second count accused him of stealing €115 from a female patient at an unspecified section of the hospice at Curraheen Rd, Cork, on December 9.
