Mother of missing Cork man Diarmuid Twomey passes away in hospital

It is understood Anne Twomey had been ill for some time.
Diarmuid Twomey, a father of two young girls, failed to return home to Carrignavar village on December 21 after he and his partner Ciara Byrne went to a relative’s house in Fairhill.
Ms Byrne left just before 3am. He left the house a short time later, but hasn’t been seen since. His phone was found in a farmyard in Ballinahina at about 11.30am that day.
Gardaí have appealed for the taxi driver who took Ms Byrne home to come forward as well as three men who visited Whitechurch Recycling Centre between 6am and 6.30am on the same date.
Anyone with information should contact Gurranabraher gardaí on 021-4946200.
