A Limerick man wrote off a car when he attacked it with a hatchet, a court heard.

William Mulqueen also hit the car owner with the hatchet, causing the victim a wound to the forehead.

During a drunken rampage which occurred at Hillcroft, St Patrick’s Rd, on September 30, 2014, he attacked a house and a garda van with the hatchet, causing almost €5,000 worth of damage.
