Man lay dead in Dublin sheltered accommodation for a week

Frank Doyle, aged 71, lived at the Thomas Clarke House complex in Ballybough Road, Dublin 3.

He was found dead at this sparsely furnished flat on July 30, 2014, after a liaison officer became concerned for his welfare. Dublin City Council liaison officer Laura Doran called to the house on that date as Mr Doyle had not been seen for a number of days. She noticed a key in the lock and uncollected post outside. She dialled 999 and Dublin Fire Brigade broke through the door to gain access to the flat.
