€5m flooding fund ‘will be delivered before Christmas’ says Enda Kenny

Taoiseach Enda Kenny has promised a €5m fund set up to help businesses hit by flooding will be delivered before Christmas.

It comes as the National Co-ordination Group has warned the worst floods along the River Shannon are yet to come as water levels continue to rise.

As water makes it way downstream, areas from Athlone to Limerick are on flood alert. Yesterday areas in Clare and Limerick were also dealing with significant floods.
