Christmas party flings sees seasonal upsurge for Irish lie detector business

Ireland’s only professional lie detector has already noted a seasonal surge in demand for her services, as partners suspected of festive frolics are frogmarched in for polygraph tests.

Sian Devine, who runs Dublin-based Lie Detector Ltd, said the number of calls she’s received since the beginning of the month is up by nearly 40% from the norm.

And she said she expects the fallout from illicit affairs and drunken flings at the office Christmas party will keep her busy well into the new year.
