24 diverse groups ready to invest in social housing needs

International investors, hedge funds, banks, credit unions, and developers are among 24 groups who have offered to fund or provide social housing.

Rampart Capital LLP, a London-based hedge fund manager, is one of the groups that have offered options on building the 90,000 homes which have been promised by the Government by 2020.

With about 80 families becoming homeless in Dublin alone each month, the Government recently announced its Social Housing Strategy 2020 which hopes to accommodate everyone on the housing waiting lists in the next five years.
