Unions and representative bodies have been called upon to disclose the salaries of senior staff.

The call comes after IFA president Eddie Downey stood down when it was revealed he received €147,000 a year.

The general secretary of the same organisation, Pat Smith, resigned from his position last week when it emerged that, in 2013, his total package was €535,000.
