Enda Kenny praises diaspora for helping Ireland emerge strong from financial crisis

Addressing about 200 invited guests at the Global Irish Economic Forum in Dublin Castle, the fourth meeting since it first convened in 2009, Mr Kenny said that the economic crash had helped forge stronger links with the Irish abroad.
Though still needing nurturing, the economy was now āin a different placeā having been assisted by the diaspora who had rallied around at the time of need.
