GAA plan to mark Bloody Sunday with Croke Park light tribute

The stadium floodlights of Croke Park will today be dimmed and 14 flames will light up Hill 16 as the GAA marks the 95th anniversary of the events of Bloody Sunday, which happened during the War of Independence.

The ceremony will take place before the start of the International Rules test between Ireland and Australia.

The events of Bloody Sunday on November 21, 1920, are central to the history of the GAA and Croke Park.
