But not in this case when they sent two officers to look over a €1.1m electronic charting system in Canada.

To save a few euro, and it’s being claimed that’s all it was, the Defence Forces decided not to send the two Naval Service officers on a direct flight from Dublin to Vancouver — which seemed the most logical route.
