Kildare special needs school release Christmas album to raise much needed funds

Forget the X Factor Christmas single, a Kildare school for children with special needs is bringing out an entire album for the festive season.

Some 64 students, aged between five and 18, at St Raphael’s Special School have picked up their musical instruments or sang their hearts out on The Stars of St Raphael’s Special School album.

The pupils have a range of disabilities, some severe and profound, others have moderate learning disabilities and autism. Many have Down syndrome and some cannot speak.
