A woman involved in a €4,200 heroin run from Dublin to Cork was caught in a garda surveillance operation.

However, she received a suspended jail term yesterday after evidence she had turned her life around.

Amanda Slattery, of 124 Knockpogue Avenue, Cork, was given an 18-month suspended sentence at Cork Circuit Criminal Court.
