Uncertainty over future of Cork’s Savoy following cancellation of upcoming shows

Uncertainty surrounds a Cork City nightclub following the cancellation of a number of shows that were due to be held at the venue.

Scottish act the Proclaimers were scheduled to play the Savoy on St Patrick’s Street next Thursday, November 19, but have now cancelled their appearance.

A message on the band’s website stated that “a dispute between the landlord and the tenants has led to the venue being closed indefinitely”.
