Making her debut this weekend is textile designer Jacinta Leigh who is the brains behind Scatterpillar Designs: an unique product where she takes the drawings from her children’s imagination and makes them come to life turning them into soft toys, cushions and stitched artwork.
Ms Leigh’s stitched artwork tells the story of childhood and each piece can be personalised with some incorporating 3D elements to the embroidery.

Ms Leigh said the weekend will be an excellent opportunity to network with other leading Irish designers.
“I think it’s good to meet other people in the field and see what they think of your work. It will be nice to see other people’s reaction as well and also they give you ideas on what way you should be going with your work which is always good.”
The Craft and Design Fair runs today from 3-6pm, Saturday from 10-6pm and Sunday from 11-5pm.
Admission charge is €5 and supports the gallery’s education programmes.
