Skin hung ‘like an open letterbox’

Skin hung like an open letterbox when a man’s throat was slit after a 21st birthday party, a court heard.

Alan Boohan, aged 34, of Glenogra, Fedamore, Co Limerick, has pleaded not guilty at Limerick Circuit Court to assault causing serious harm to Eoghan O’Callaghan on September 23, 2001.

Mr O’Callaghan has told the trial that Mr Boohan slit his throat as he drove Mr Boohan’s van home after they had attended a party at Buldgaden Castle.
