WB Yeats works made available to UL students

Some of the finest first editions of the work of William Butler Yeats have been made available for researchers and students at University of Limerick.

The collection, which also includes some very rare editions, has been donated by Prof Michael Gilsenan, formerly of Oxford University and now professor of Middle Eastern and Islamic studies at New York University.

While staff are still cataloguing the works, UL’s director of library and information services Gobnait O’Riordan said it was like an early Christmas gift.
