One feared for his life when he was told by one of his abductors that they were in his city and he was a member of the IRA.

John Sheehy, aged 21, of St Munchin’s Avenue, St Mary’s Park, was jailed yesterday for five years at Limerick Circuit Court for his part in what Judge Tom O’Donnell described as “a premeditated and extremely violent, frightening” escapade.
